Exciting update – Beloved PS3 games may soon arrive on PS5! Stay tuned for the latest on these classic game re-releases.
Hold onto your seats, PlayStation fans! Two cherished classics from the PS3 era, ‘Hotline Miami‘ and ‘Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number,’ might be making their way to the PS5. Recent trophy lists popping up online have sparked this thrilling possibility.
Both ‘Hotline Miami’ games were indie gems on PS3 and PS Vita, earning high praise from players. Now, with potential native PS5 releases, they could gain a fresh lease on life. The PS5 has been continuously receiving remasters and ports since its November 2020 launch. Additionally, the PS Plus subscription service regularly treats players to classic titles spanning from the original PlayStation to PS3.
If the trophy list leaks turn out to be true, fans might soon be able to enjoy revamped versions of ‘Hotline Miami’ and ‘Hotline Miami 2’ on their PS5 consoles. A new leak from the trophy and achievement tracking website Exophase has ignited these rumors, as they list PS5 versions of the games separately from the existing PlayStation versions.
However, it’s essential to note that the publisher of the Hotline Miami series, Devolver Digital, hasn’t officially confirmed these PS5 releases. The absence of a cross-buy feature, which allowed access across multiple platforms for the PS3, PS Vita, and PS4 versions, might explain the separate listings.
‘Hotline Miami’ first graced the PS3 and PS Vita in June 2013, a year after its PC debut, followed by a PS4 release in August 2014. Its sequel arrived in 2015, captivating gamers on all three PlayStation platforms. Subsequently, both games made their way to Nintendo Switch and Xbox consoles under the ‘Hotline Miami Collection’ in 2019 and 2020.
With the PS5’s 4K capabilities and higher frame rate support, ‘Hotline Miami’ and ‘Hotline Miami 2’ could offer an even more immersive gaming experience. If these trophy lists prove accurate, fans can hope for an official announcement from Devolver Digital on their social media channels.
